3 Ways To Save Our Planet in Every Day Life

Let’s get to the point…

1.EAT MORE PLANT-BASED FOOD.

Raising livestock for meat, eggs + milk generates 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions (more than transportation emissions). It uses about 70% of all agricultural land + is one of the leading causes of deforestation, biodiversity loss + water pollution. Abandoned fishing nets cause 46 percent of all ocean plastic which along with commercial fishing threatens marine ecosystems.

2. USE REUSABLE PLASTIC-FREE ITEMS

(canvas shopping bags, glass straws, stainless steel water bottles, etc.)

90% of the trash floating in our oceans is made of plastic. Over 13 billion plastic bottles are disposed of each year. Plastic bags + other plastic garbage dumped into the ocean kill as many as 1 million sea creatures every year. Plastic trash takes hundreds of years to decompose!

3. SHOP VINTAGE + DONATE USED CLOTHES

Every year, north americans alone send 12 million tonnes of textiles into the landfills, 95% of which could be reused or recycled. With toxic chemical dyes + synthetic fibers (forms of plastic)  that contaminate water systems from production + household washing, worldwide transportation from production houses to stores, fast fashion (toxic, over-produced, built to break, trendy/disposable clothing) is a top environmental pollutant.

If ya don’t know, now ya know!
