MY ROOTS


Since 2011 I have travelled to India (the source of Yoga) three times to receive formal training + certificates in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.

 

My teachers include:

  • Guru Raviji from the Sivasoorya Divine School of Yoga

  • Yogacharya Prakash Iyengar from Ashtanga Mysore

  • Saraswati from KPJAYI

 

I am a trained Reiki healer and daily meditation practitioner with Vipassana training. My greatest inspiration has always been the lessons and blessings of mother Nature. 

 

My approach is to blend the essence of this spiritual tradition with a continual re-definition of the physical postures informed by modern day discoveries in human biomechanics.

It is time to take green-living off of a pedestal and make it more accessible.

I’m committed to teaching people that these practices aren’t just for the hippy club; they’re for anyone who wants to get healthy while making the world a better place. I believe that a yoga lifestyle and green living are like Jay Z + Beyonce — they just belong together. 

The first principle of yoga is non-harming and now more than ever we need to offer that sentiment to our planet.

We all have a responsibility to do what we can, with what we have, to uplift our health and the health of this planet but I want you to know we’re in this together, mistakes and all.
